For maintenance personnel, when original membrane switches for older equipment are unavailable, they can record the wire numbers corresponding to each key and then replace them with standard push-button switches (tactile switches) connected via wiring groups. This approach achieves exactly the same functionality but requires more effort.
Waterproof Film Switch with IP68 Rating The cleaning method steps
1. Clean the surface to be bonded with the membrane switch (the surface must be smooth, free of rust, oil, and dust).
2. Compare the size (position the switch at the intended pasting location to ensure the size and alignment are correct).
3. Next, peel off approximately 10 mm of the centrifugal paper from the edge at the bottom of the membrane switch.
4. Next, place the membrane switch onto the corresponding position and secure it partially. Then, carefully peel off the remaining release liner at a slight angle no greater than 15 degrees, and gradually apply the switch to the designated areas one by one.
5. During the pasting process, if the film switch with the backing centrifugal paper is removed, it should be placed temporarily with the reverse side facing up to prevent sticking to other objects and affecting the pasting process.
6. Important Notes: Do not repeat the pasting process; complete it in one go. The tearing angle should not exceed 15 degrees. When testing the feel, ensure the product is placed flat on the table before pressing down—do not press while holding it in mid-air, as this may affect its lifespan.

Precautions for Film Switches with IP68 Waterproof Rating
1. The bubble wrap placed between the two switches is designed to reduce pressure on the buttons and prevent malfunction; it should be retained.
2. The transparent film covering both sides of the membrane switch serves as a protective display window; do not remove it easily.
3. After removing several sheets, they should be neatly bundled back to their original state—but absolutely not tied too tightly.
4. Thin-film surface-mounted components and membrane switches that feel good to the touch and are available in large quantities must be packed and stored vertically to prevent prolonged pressure on the keys, which could lead to functional failure.
5. Ensure that the cable is properly protected and never placed with the connector facing downward.
6. The switch is equipped with a display window. When handling or placing it, ensure that the material is not subjected to bending forces, as this may cause creases to remain.
7. The IP68-rated membrane switch, stored indoors at room temperature, should be protected against dust and moisture. Additionally, ensure that the surrounding air is free from acidic, alkaline, or other corrosive gases.
