Metal dome membrane switch OEM manufacturers say that membrane switches can be divided into three types, namely flexible membrane switches, rigid membrane switches, and three-dimensional membrane switches.
First, flexible membrane switch
The metal dome membrane switch OEM manufacturer said that the mask layer, isolation layer and circuit layer of the flexible membrane switch are all composed of flexible films with different properties. The circuit layer of the flexible membrane switch adopts polyester film (PET) with good electrical performance as the carrier of the switch circuit pattern. Due to the influence of the properties of polyester film, this membrane switch has good insulation, heat resistance, folding resistance and high resilience.

Second, rigid membrane switch

It is characterized by stable process and low resistance value, and some components in the circuit can be directly soldered on its back. In the case of small area, the hard backing layer can be omitted. Rigid membrane switches generally use metal guides as conducting labyrinth contacts, so they feel better. However, it is not as convenient as a flexible membrane switch to install and connect in the whole machine, and it is often necessary to weld and lead out the lead through a flat cable.
Third, three-dimensional membrane switch
The metal dome membrane switch OEM manufacturer said that the keys on the membrane switch usually use different colors to indicate the position, shape and size of the key body, which is more common in the initial stage of the membrane switch. The switch key of the three-dimensional membrane switch is slightly raised, slightly higher than the panel, forming a three-dimensional membrane switch, which is called a three-dimensional key switch. The three-dimensional key can accurately specify the range of the key body, improve the recognition speed, make the operator's touch sensitive, and also improve the decorative effect of the product appearance.
