1. The panel layer of the membrane switch
The panel layer is typically produced by screen-printing exquisite patterns and text onto colorless, transparent sheet materials such as PET or PC with a thickness of less than 0.25 mm. Since the primary function of the panel layer is to serve as an identifier and provide tactile feedback for buttons, the selected materials must exhibit high transparency, excellent ink adhesion, superior elasticity, and excellent resistance to bending and folding.
2. Adhesive Layer for Membrane Panel Switch
The primary function of the adhesive layer is to firmly bond the panel layer with the circuit layer, ensuring both sealing and electrical connection. Typically, this layer should maintain a thickness between 0.02 and 0.05 mm, while also exhibiting high adhesion strength and excellent resistance to aging. During production, specialized double-sided adhesive films for membrane switches are commonly used. Some membrane switch applications require waterproof and high-temperature-resistant properties; therefore, the adhesive layer must be tailored to meet specific material requirements accordingly.

3. Control circuitry for the upper and lower layers of the thin-film panel switch
This layer utilizes high-performance polyester film (PET) as the substrate for the switch circuit pattern, onto which conductive properties are imparted through specialized screen-printing processes using silver paste, carbon paste, or gold paste. Typically, the film thickness ranges from 0.05 to 0.175 mm, with 0.125 mm PET being the most commonly used material.
4. Laminated Layer
It serves as a sealing and connecting component positioned between the upper and lower circuit layers. Typically, PET double-sided adhesive is used, with thicknesses ranging from 0.05 to 0.2 mm. When selecting the material for this layer, it is essential to carefully consider the overall product thickness, insulation properties, tactile feel of the circuit buttons, and sealing performance.

The selection of adhesive material is closely related to the type of substrate with which the membrane switch will be bonded. Commonly used adhesives include standard double-sided tape, 3M adhesive, and waterproof adhesive, among others.
