Thin-film switch
The membrane switch is an integrated operating system that combines keypad functionality, indicator elements, and instrument panel features into a single unit. It consists of four key components: the panel, the upper circuit, the isolation layer, and the lower circuit. When the membrane switch is pressed, the contact points in the upper circuit deform downward, making electrical contact with the metal plates in the lower circuit and completing the circuit. Once the finger is released, the upper circuit contacts snap back to their original position, breaking the connection and triggering a signal.
Membrane switches boast a robust design, elegant appearance, and excellent sealing properties. They offer outstanding resistance to moisture and enjoy a long service life. As a result, they are widely used in fields such as electronic communications, electronic measurement instruments, industrial control systems, medical devices, the automotive industry, smart toys, and household appliances.
