Thin-film switch
The membrane switch is an integrated operating system that combines keypad functions, indicator elements, and instrument panels into a single unit. It consists of four key components: the panel, the upper circuit, the isolation layer, and the lower circuit. When the membrane switch is pressed, the contact points in the upper circuit deform downward, making contact with the electrode plates in the lower circuit to establish a conductive path. Once the finger is lifted, the upper circuit contacts snap back to their original position, breaking the circuit and triggering a signal. Membrane switches feature a robust design, sleek aesthetics, and excellent sealing properties. They offer outstanding resistance to moisture and boast a long service life. As a result, they are widely used in fields such as electronic communications, precision measurement instruments, industrial control systems, medical devices, the automotive industry, smart toys, and household appliances.
